Machine learning has received a lot of attention in recent years. In
this talk we’ll investigate what make makes this technology so unusual,
and what its implications are for new businesses in terms of how
software can be created and used.

Bio:

Otto Schnurr lives in the Lansing area and is technical lead for iOS
software at TechSmith. He has been writing software for Apple hardware
for about ten years. Before that, he worked on animation software at
Midway Games in Chicago. In the late 90’s he was a member of a research
team at Motorola Labs using neural networks to help computers speak more
naturally.

Otto grew up in Traverse City and ended up pursuing degrees in
electrical engineering from Michigan Tech and the University of Michigan.
