Python 2: Hands-On Programming using the IoT Greenhouse – 2 Session Course
April 11 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
While Python is a general-purpose language, it is an increasingly popular tool for data analytics and data science. It has a number of mature libraries that contain collections of tools and techniques used to create models and solve problems.
This second Hands-On Python session continues with an introduction to Python coding by investigating data structures and functions. In the first segment, participants captured IoT Greenhouse data as list objects and graphed. This workshop picks up there with participants manipulating list data and investigating other basic data structures in Python. The experience continues with teams creating Python functions to improve the structure and modularity of their solutions. This is a four-hour class scheduled over two consecutive weeks. Participation in this workshop is limited to those who have completed either the Introduction to Python or Introduction to Raspberry Pi Hands-On workshops. Please register in advance and attend both sessions.
– Tuesday, APRIL 9th from 5:30 to 7:30
– Tuesday, APRIL 16th from 5:30 to 7:30
About Keith E. Kelly
Keith has been making things his entire life. In his earlier years, he created solutions using electronics and software. As his teaching career matured, Keith used the same problem-solving abilities to improve educational systems and curriculum.
In response to the emerging trends in Internet of Things, Keith has created IoT, Python, and Electronic Devices training leveraging an IoT Greenhouse model. He delivers these as experiential workshops along with Cisco’s Python and IoT curriculum. His favorite thing to make is new IoT coders and techs!
