Python 3: Hands-On Programming using the IoT Greenhouse – 2 Session Course
April 23 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Part 3 Hands-On: Python Programming using the IoT Greenhouse
While Python is a multi-paradigm programming language, it is primarily designed as an object-oriented programming language. Object-oriented Programming, or OOP for short, is a programming paradigm which structures solutions as a set of individual objects having properties and behaviors.
The third Hands-On Python session concludes this series of coding workshops by introducing Object-Oriented Programming in Python. Participants will use prior experience with the IoT Greenhouse and patterns provided by the IoT Greenhouse Service software to write Python classes that encapsulate greenhouse functionality. The final section of the course provides a review of Python concepts from the Hands-On series and the linked Cisco Network Academy course as a preparation for the Certificate of Completion final exam. This is a four-hour class scheduled over two consecutive weeks. Participation in this workshop is limited to those who have completed prior Hands-On Python sessions. Please register in advance and attend both sessions.

About Keith E. Kelly
Keith has been making things his entire life. In his earlier years, he created solutions using electronics and software. As his teaching career matured, Keith used the same problem-solving abilities to improve educational systems and curriculum.
In response to the emerging trends in Internet of Things, Keith has created IoT, Python, and Electronic Devices training leveraging an IoT Greenhouse model. He delivers these as experiential workshops along with Cisco’s Python and IoT curriculum. His favorite thing to make is new IoT coders and techs!
